yes

Over twenty-five years ago, I pioneered the field of media training and started coaching best-selling authors, Fortune 100 CEOs, and celebrated actors and athletes to shine on camera. What I found was that when my clients learned to connect to the positive force inside them, they radiated star quality. This revelation led me to recognize the power of YES.
YES is an affirmative statement that builds momentum in a positive direction. YES has the power to change your life. Since you think a word before you say it, you have an internal experience of each word you say, and when you say YES you accept what is and open to what could be.
The problem is, the mind uses negative thoughts the same way it uses positive ones, since it has no way of knowing which thoughts are true. Also, in the English language there are at least two and a half times as many words that represent negative emotions as positive ones. Therefore, our minds naturally tend to focus on the negative and overlook the positive. In order to build a mind of YES, one filled with positively charged electrical energy and proactive thoughts, say YES frequently. But don’t forget to use the boundary NO to stop people and situations that aren’t moving you in a forward direction.
Because human beings have a pronounced negative bias, it’s challenging to hold a positive focus no matter what. But YES isn’t about fighting negativity through positive thinking; YES changes your inward state. When you say, “Yes, I choose this,” you move forward positively and resistance melts away. This is an Affirmative Universe, and when you say YES to life, life says YES back to you.
