truth

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in making a measurable, positive difference in the world in my lifetime.
I want to know what makes people happy and peaceful … starting with me, of course. I’m very obsessed. And passionate. And single-mindedly curious. In my quest, with my thirst, hunger, and passion for figuring it out for myself, I’ve naturally always also wanted to give away what I learn.
I worked on myself first, to the point where I have a body I love, a relationship I love, a house I love, kids I love, relationships with my parents that I love, a career I love, and a money situation I love. I spent a good ten years studying with everyone I could and really working out all that stuff in all those areas of life.
I hold myself responsible as a leader, happy to be walking my own path and maintaining my own integrity. If my energy or vibe – whatever you want to call it – is off, it brings the whole ship down. That means it’s not acceptable for me to be a jerk. To myself, or anyone else.
I have a rule that if I’m unhappy for more than 15 minutes, I have to communicate with one of my higher-ups. I have to confess. I immediately write an email to one of my bosses (three very powerful women). I tell them, “Heads-up!” and write out my promise that I’ll deal with it. Then I get up and put on my manifesting tapes or I mediate or I start communicating.
If there’s something unresolved that’s caused me to be unhappy or upset, I know I need to communicate about it and resolve it. That might mean admitting that something is out of integrity and I need to put honor back in place.
It could also be that I’m not in a good mood because I’m afraid. The answer then is to admit it, face it, and probably get a pep talk from someone. Or just recognize that I’m going to be afraid until I get through it. Then I’ll be happy and proud. And move on to the next fear.
My mission is to teach the world how to tell the truth. That’s what I think makes people happy and peaceful.
