When I was growing up in Latin America in the midst of violence and political upheavals, suffocated by an environment full of panic and mistrust, I always envisioned a world of peace for everyone, including the next generations.
My mother’s dream of having her children grow up in a world of non-violence, love, peace, and harmony was embedded within me. I was the only one of 11 siblings who decided to emigrate to the United States and take part in its social, political, and educational systems.
For many years, I’ve been on a personal quest to achieve a new world of peace by building bridges of understanding between different cultures. I’m in a permanent state of appreciation as I promote harmony, unity, and peace among the people of this planet in various ways. Lectures, intercultural dialogues, poetry, and writings are the meaningful ways I spread my mission of advancing peace.
Most of us live on a physical plane, planning for an uncertain future, rushing through daily events, not living in a spiritual state of reverence that’s so important in today’s world. It helps to live in the moment and to balance time with family, work, and community.
When we honor creation and respect the environment, when we assist others in our global community by being tolerant and compassionate, we make a difference and transform our surroundings.
The year 2012 marks a new beginning in the evolution of the Universe. We’re responsible for creating a new paradigm of love, dignity, respect, and reverence. In this way, we build a new world of justice, tolerance, and compassion for all living things.
