divine joy

I grew up in a family of people with tremendously high IQs – very accomplished people – and I noticed that it didn’t always bring them joy. Even when I was very little, I thought the joy was most rewarding. When we were laughing together and sharing with each other it felt closest to what I’d experience if God was present. I wanted to cultivate that.
What I can contribute is being a positive change in the atmosphere. That’s my mission. I may not have the answers to the world’s problems or know what to do, but when I’m the positive change in the atmosphere, I feel like I’m contributing something that has value.
What calls people to go through challenges? My life is really good because of the sacrifices that were made even only two generations ago. When I think of all the pioneers in any area and the extreme sacrifices they made, I wonder what went on in their consciousness. Could they have done anything else? And do we do what we do now for future generations?
We who are on the planet right now are learning how to choose our way. We’re teaching ourselves to go for the positive, for the light, for forgiveness. This can be as simple as choosing a loving thought, even when we don’t have to. That’s pioneering, too, as it takes us into the higher realms of human consciousness.
I’ve realized that there’s a blessing in every situation. If I get off track, I make it my business to get back on track as soon as I can. I do that by looking around for the blessing in my life right now. Looking for the blessing ignites my gratitude and gratitude floods into joy.
As an astrologer, I see cycles come and go. Every phase of our lives is planned by us for us, for our own highest good. So if I’m not seeing the gift or the joy, I realize I’m out of synch with my own journey, my own plan, so I look for it, and the looking ignites gratitude and joy.
What’s most meaningful to me is allowing myself to be in touch with the joy of who I am. That’s when I know I’m most on track with the best and the highest part of myself.
