love

EVERYTHING begins and ends with us. We, and we alone, are responsible for creating our realities. The acceptance of that simple bit of knowledge changed my life.
No more wasting time blaming others, pointing fingers or making excuses. That mode of thinking doesn’t exist for me anymore. I now take full responsibility for myself. I am clear that my life is the culmination of all of my choices – some of them good…some I’ll describe kindly as extremely questionable.
LOVE is everything. There is nothing as important in this life as to love ourselves and others. It is the source from which all positive things flow. Love is all we take with us when we leave and it’s all that matters.
My life is about continuing to evolve. Which for me, at the moment, means mindfully practicing coming from Love in all my words and actions. It also means being “me” at all times – truly myself, not the character I created to seem brave or the one that I thought people wanted to see. I am shedding any artifice so that my true light can shine.
I used to be “asleep.” I didn’t have the ability to view my own behaviors objectively – most of my decisions were ego-based. So entrenched, was I, in my delusions that I thought everything was great – very cool indeed – and one could feel free to ask me anything because, according to me, I knew it all!
The reality was that most of my actions and reactions were fear-based and I wasn’t truly happy. My happiness was a precarious one based solely on the fluctuations of outside circumstances and instant gratification. The turning point came when I got out of a long-term relationship. I was finally alone, no distractions – just me, and I wasn’t great company. I knew then that I had to change something within.
I can’t say enough about the importance of good health and nutrition. To me it is literally the difference between being happy and unhappy. Feeding our bodies what they need – healthy, nourishing food – is part of loving ourselves. Toxifying our bodies is self-sabotage – the surest way to stay stuck, sick and depressed.
Cutting out disempowering habits and behaviors transforms our lives. Body Temple LA is a labor of Love. I created it to inspire others to treat everyone, including themselves, with love and kindness.
