healing

I’ve been involved my whole life with births, health, nature, growing things, and nurturing things to grow. I’m delighted that we can consciously co-create with nature, that we’re part of nature, and that God comes through us in delightful ways. The more conscious we become of this power, the more fun life gets.
If we want to find out where our true power lies, we have to go to the areas we’ve been told to be afraid of. For women, that includes the menstrual cycle, labor, and menopause. It includes all the times the stillness and darkness of what’s within us comes to the forefront.
Women have been brainwashed about labor. Instead of knowing that a mother is born when she goes through the process of labor, she’s terrified because of the images she’s been given since she was a little girl. We regard childbirth as the worst thing instead of the natural completion of making love. The energy that got the baby in there is the same energy that gets the baby out.
We need to peel off the layers of our conditioning and listen to our inner wisdom. We know when something’s right or wrong for us, but we get derailed by the stories told by so-called experts or even by our mates. We may really want to do something, but someone’s against it, so we fold. We buy someone else’s story. This is a big problem for women, because we end up not owning the power of our inner wisdom.
Our bodies are a source of wisdom. When we’re premenstrual, our connection with spirit and soul opens. Our bodies reveal what’s not working in our lives so we can clean it up. The distance between how we actually live and how we really want to live becomes more acute. If this contrast is ignored, it becomes PMS. Every time we ignore it or medicate it or say it’s-just-my-hormones, it becomes worse, until we get to perimenopause, the mother of all wake-up calls, and blame menopause as an isolated event, as if it wasn’t related to our life.
It’s all related. Life, like biology, amps up signals to get our attention. Our task is to listen to those signals, to bypass our conditioning and heal our lives. Women who heal their own wounds don’t become problems for their daughters, they don’t perpetuate the mother-daughter chain of pain.
A healed life is the biggest gift we can give to the planet. It’s exciting to me that we can partner with our bodies, partner with our souls, and bring heaven to Earth. I’m most interested in living heaven on Earth. How can we each do that?
