one love

Over five years ago I decided to change my life radically. I wanted a bigger life and suddenly found the answers all around me. It was all so simple. Instant networks appeared. Support groups developed on my behalf. Resources grew overnight. My private dedicated team of cheerleaders became progressive. Finally my own activism became my breakthrough. What was this revolutionary transformation called? It was Twitter.
I had started to tinker around with Twitter to see how it worked, and I would read people’s thoughts for hours! It was like the best running soap opera that I could imagine. I was fascinated by how people were sharing personal information in real time! Their heartaches, milestones, and successes were all there to read. How amazing is that?
Then I did something I didn’t imagine I would do. I tweeted for the first time ever. I wasn’t just a reader. I started sharing my story. It became easier and easier to share my story. I was now addicted. I got a following of people and this wonderful engagement that catapulted me to take my goals seriously.
Moreover, through the discovery of a global reach with people from New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and Africa I was able to attract like-minded people. This was the most luminous global happening ever! I started to see the clear resonating beat that we had together. We were social, inspired, and very encouraging to one another. It was and still is magic.
I started to realize we were all one. We were geographically in different locations, but our commonalities brought us closer. Our desires were similar. We have aspirations, an openness to extend our family. We’re looking for validation, wanting to find love, ready for a revolution, a desire to record our lives. Finally, we’re open to magnificent possibilities. The connection was and is palpable. The tactile quality of a global community has become known now as my neighbors. Once you let go of expectations in a very narrow field of local community vision, the world is truly yours.
