integrated

Living spiritually integrated has been most meaningful for me my entire adult life, revealing itself progressively through many epiphanies over the decades. My view of spirituality gradually progressed from doing to being.
After being on a committed spiritual path for this long, my sense of being connected is always present as a backdrop in my consciousness. The feeling of being disconnected is very rare. I have an equanimity that sustains me through even challenging situations.
In the rare times when I don’t feel as connected as I do most of the time, I experience a natural effect that reconnects me spontaneously. It’s like being on an invisible rubber band in my consciousness which automatically pulls me back to my natural state of awareness, usually within a few seconds.
Desire carries people along the pathways life lays before us. Like with learning most things, the more we engage in the practice of discovery, the more realizations are initiated. In the beginning, learning to do this can seem as formidable as starting to climb a high mountain, but the journey gets progressively easier the higher in consciousness one rises.
When people don’t think they’re having a meaningful life it’s because they’re disconnected from their spiritual nature and operating through ego perceptions and defenses. This often happens as situations arise and are met with a defensive nature rather than with the soul. I’ve found that people experience satisfaction, completion, meaning, fulfillment, happiness, enjoyment, and lightness of being when they integrate their soul into their mind, body, and feelings.
To help with this process, I recommend using this technique: Put one hand over the center of your chest and acknowledge the comfort that naturally emerges. This helps connect you with the soul presence. Spend some time allowing yourself to explore your inner space while calling on your spiritual soul presence to emerge and integrate through all your thoughts and feelings. By doing this process over time, the spiritual presence replaces all else and becomes the predominant experience.
I view the spiritual journey as an ever-unfolding and ever-expanding experience. Part of the fun of the journey is not knowing what revelation or discovery is next – there’s always a further evolution of our participation in creation with ever-expanding love and beauty.
