intimacy

The one thing that humanity is missing is intimacy. Intimate connection with their own reality, their own life. Intimacy is embracing. Utter connectedness to what is. The touch of another. The embrace of another. The oneness with life itself in all aspects.
As a child growing up in the usual lifestyle, it became apparent to me how disconnected our ordinary lives were. We are packing kids full of information for the academia and not giving them an actual education, what they actually need to have a life. That’s what I found in my life which sent me on a search to work it out.
Our social fabric focuses on conventional success, and that denies people of what they really need to have a life: intimacy, love, and sex. It seems these days we can’t even use the word sex anymore without it implying something very negative. People either have this ideal spiritual denial of sex or it comes out as an aberration. The whole weight of pornography has a put stigma on sex in our society. So nobody’s enjoying sexual intimacy because of a few flukes here and there.
Love and intimacy doesn’t exclude sex. Sex has been disassociated from actual love, actual embodiment. Sex is seen as just something that you can do. I’m saying no, sex belongs in sincere intimacy, sincere friendship, real love. That’s the real turn on.
If I’m having a hard time feeling an intimate connection, I move and breathe in my own body. The starting point is to be intimate, to be completely connected with your own body and breath. If you’re connected to your own body and breath, then you will find that you’re automatically connected to your own experience, to your own family and friends, the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, and solid ground.
Intimacy is the ultimate turn on. I want people to find that in their lives and have that. It heals the body. It heals the life, and gives us what we actually need. It’s not positive thinking we need. It’s intimacy. Intimacy gives us positive thinking. I’m not making a case for going out there and having sex. I’m making a case for being intimate with your life.
