thoughts

What’s always characterized this life for me is being creatively fulfilled. In other words, work. Work is not a four-letter word. It’s our ultimate dance with life. We add our input to the equation – our thoughts, words, and deeds – and we get the output, our manifestations. That work is a thrilling, challenging adventure. It’s what means the most to me this time around.
Although my life in the last decade has been a fairy tale, I do have and will always have challenges. But I’ve noticed that the challenges are fewer the more I go down this path. I have a down day once every few months. It always catches me off guard, but by the next day it’s completely gone. The way I stay on track or get back on track is to remind myself of truth.
The truth sets us free. When we recognize, embrace, and understand the absolutes regarding the nature of reality, that truth becomes a soothing balm. It greases the wheels. It lets off steam. It attracts abundance, friends, health, laughter, and harmony. Understanding the truth about who we are, how we got here, and what we can do with our lives is the ticket for living peacefully, joyfully, and abundantly in life. When we embrace the truth, all is well.
This is a time of psychological change on planet Earth. A metamorphosis of consciousness is happening. We’re going through a time of exciting, fantastic change that may include some calamity, and yet there’s a lot of evidence that these changes can happen with less calamity than was foreseen. The potential for calamity exists to the degree that there’s resistance to change.
Resistance is a way of not accepting or taking responsibility for the truth. What I see is that people are getting more used to accepting 100% responsibility for their own happiness. That’s easy, right? We’re on board with that idea. But what catches people is the other side of that coin: accepting 100% responsibility for our own unhappiness, too.
From a spiritual perspective, what I see that makes taking responsibility for everything easier is realizing that we don’t have to explain. You don’t have to explain how you got to where you are today, why you were violated as a child, why you had this experience or that one, in order to take responsibility for it. All that matters for getting to the place of your wildest dreams is what you think, say, and do between now and then. Period.
