divine love

At this phase in my life I can no longer be a victim to myself, others, or conditions. I may not always have control over the events that touch my life, but I do have power over what meaning I choose to give these events.
I alone have the mastery to fully embrace the unlimited nature of my ability to grow beyond anything that touches my life. I have the choice to attach a meaning to even the most paralyzing of situations, which allows me to evolve into a wiser, more compassionate, resilient being.
When I forget that I alone have the power to apply any life enriching meaning that I want to what ails me, I feel the consequences of that inaction immediately. The quality of my life starts to deteriorate.
To self-correct, I examine what I’m doing with my love. I practice the Spiritual Law: you are what you love and you love whatever you give your attention to.
This Law has opened my inner eyes to the reality that, “I am Divine Love.” I do not have Divine Love. It is not a possession. It cannot be lost or stolen. It is who and what I am. Therefore, whenever I give my attention to something, I am also giving it my Love.
The biggest obstacle people have in leading self-actualized, meaningful lives lies in what they give their attention to; what they tell themselves in the privacy of their own mind and inner self-narrative.
Leading a meaningful life is an inside job. No one can create meaning by giving attention to what robs their life of value. No one can know themselves as a force of Divine Love and at the same time see themselves as defective, worthless, or powerless. We cannot serve both fear and love.
A meaningful life starts with taking our mind and attention back. We all have free will over what we choose to give our attention to. So if what you’re giving your attention to is creating meaningless suffering and unhappiness – stop! Put it down, and use your free will to choose something else.
I cannot say it more clearly, and I cannot overstate it. You are what you love and you love whatever you give your attention to.
So the real question here is… how wisely do you love?
