When I appreciate and share, I feel like I’m doing something that’s helping, contributing to something bigger than myself. I’ve felt this and had this orientation most of my life, and it’s been reinforced even more by some of the personal experiences I’ve had.
There are definitely days when I’m less interested in working hard, when I go to the front door to go to work, but it’s a beautiful day out, or I’m tired, or whatever. In those times, I think about the positive impact I’ve had on other people and that immediately reignites me, because making a positive impact on someone else’s life is ultimately about more than that. It’s about something bigger. That’s important. I take that very seriously.
