get excited

There is only one thing that is meaningful. There is only one way to stay engaged.
And when one is aligned with that one thing, life is fulfilling.
It’s so amazingly simple, using the simplest possible one-sentence method.
First, some perspective, before we get to the one sentence “How To.”
The one meaningful thing is the only thing, the macro integrity of the Universe, the multidimensional interconnectedness of all things. As Marianne Williamson says, “There is only one of us here.”
Earth is a reflection of that macro integrity. Each of us is a reflection of that.
And since we are each a holographic reflection of everything, we actually have all of the programs of the Universe in our “computer.” The Universe, in essence, is our own personal “hard drive.”
We work that hard drive, we connect with our deepest resources, we contribute that which we were meant to contribute to the whole … by asking ourselves one question:
What excites me?
That’s it.
I try to ask myself that question every single day when I wake up. What excites me today? What is the most exciting thing I can do today?
This is not a selfish question, nor a frivolous one. It is the access code for the deeper questions What am I here for? What is my purpose? What’s my dharma?
And that, our purpose, is our piece of the integrity, the larger puzzle of the all. Live it and you will wake up inspired. Live for money or acknowledgement or position or anything else and your juice, that God juice that flows through you from the infinite wall socket, will dry up, as will your motivation, your curiosity, your energy and your life.
What excites me? is the one thing I ask myself when I have ten things to do, or ten things to write or ten things to focus on and don’t know what to do first. I ask myself, Where is the juice right now? What’s most exciting to me right now? Those questions have caused and allowed me to change careers many times, always following the juice.
It may seem irresponsible, but obligation and structure (staying in a job you don’t like) that’s devoid of inspiration (in-spirit-ation or the in-respiration of the spirit world) will always burn you out. Following the juice, the excitement, the curiosity is like surfing the universal wave of energy. You’re always playing with house money, never using your own, and, most importantly, you’re doing as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said of himself in his greatest and last speech: ” I just want to do God’s will.”
