I am blessed to say there are so many things I consider to be meaningful to me at this point in my life. If I had to choose just one, I would say helping people. I find nothing more satisfying than being of service. When I lose sight of that, I think back to all the people I have helped and encouraged along my path. That always gives me a boost.
Everyone at some point loses sight of what is meaningful. We get bogged down in the everyday stress and anxieties of life. Some tricks that help me get centered are juicing, exercising or indulging in a healing modality like massage, acupuncture, or Reiki. Our bodies are holistic by nature so treating them well on the inside and outside are critical.
When I forget to give my body fresh nutrients and relaxation it’s easy to be caught up in the trivialities of the everyday grind. When our mind is quiet and peaceful our best ideas and best self can flourish.
So if someone asked me how they might find purpose, I would suggest they do two or three things that bring them inner peace and joy. It’s amazing what we can find when our mind is still.
