I want everyone to get how much they matter and that everything they do has an impact on the world around them. When we wake up to knowing that we matter, we get to make powerful choices around our actions, our thoughts, our world, and how we are in the world.
When I was about 15, I had a vision that I was being of service to the world by looking into people’s eyes and igniting their remembrance of their essence, their divinity, and who they truly are. In that vision, I was flying all over the world, hugging people and looking in their eyes. In that act, they got to see how much they truly mattered.
This vision has stayed with me for over 30 years. I’ve had a lot of opportunities to give voice to this vision, which is now coming forth through a book and a worldwide movement. My commitment is to see 70 million people get that they matter.
It’s all about connecting with what sparks us, finding our purpose. So many of us put that big dream we have on the back shelf in a very dark corner of our heart, for lots of different reasons. When we wake up to knowing that we matter, we can pull that dream out and say, “Yeah, I am actually worthy of bringing this dream to life.”
When we bring the dream to life, it re-inspires and re-ignites in us how much we do matter. Mattering and bringing our dreams to life work hand in hand. We can’t have one without the other.
Humility is an incredibly important quality that we’ve lost touch with in our culture. There’s real beauty in seeing people who wholeheartedly get how much they matter, because they wholeheartedly get how much everyone else matters.
Everything I do is becoming more and more laser focused on the idea that I intend to live a long time, long enough to be able to hang out with my great-grandchildren. It’s my intention to do everything in my power so that when I’m sitting with my great-grandchildren, what they ask me won’t be “How could you have let this happen?” but “How did you do it?” That will mean I did my part … along with everyone else. And it worked.
