meaning

Since I was a young child, what has given life most meaning are the moments and exchanges of essence connection. I cultivate and treasure the moments when I can be fully present in my experience, savoring the possibilities, and step nimbly into giving and receiving with others so that we co-create what is really wanting to happen. I call it the art of improvising.
My major life goal is to be present in every cell of my body in every moment. Circulating that intention for years has produced an availability for this irreplaceable interaction and gives ongoing meaning to my life. I had a dream some years back that I was on a large lawn where people were playing bocce ball with dense, black balls. I was dancing around exchanging the black balls for brightly colored ones – that seems to be my cosmic task.
I’m convinced that issues are best played through, not worked through, and that the world will be united through music, movement, and co-creating. My favorite practice for cultivating full presence and exchange is a simple process I call loop of awareness. You could start enjoying its benefits right now by…
- giving yourself curious attention, then…
- letting your awareness land outside you on your partner or the world, then…
- coming back to you and noticing your breath or a body sensation, then…
- letting your attention land like a tossed balloon on something of interest in the world.
Continue and notice the dynamic of connection and co-creativity.
My husband Gay and I enjoy a constant flow of co-creativity through this and other processes and are delighted to find more playmates all the time.
