action

I’m nothing without my family by my side cheering me on. In order for me to be the best father and husband I can be, I need action in my life. I live by the credo that action delineates and defines me. Action allows me to be successful, have über-confidence, reach my goals, and be an amazing father and husband.
Action is within everybody. It’s within our veins. However, it requires a spark to ignite the action flame. I was always very driven and ambitious, but I didn’t always have the mind-set to make things happen.
I suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. Last year, I had a serious flare-up that debilitated me for a week. I lost an enormous amount of weight and it took almost three months to gain it all back. It was at that time that I decided I needed to take action in my life to make sure it never happened again. I changed my diet, started meditating and exercising again, and reduced my stress and anxiety levels. I realized that action is the only way to prevent another flare-up, so I started using that mind-set in my everyday life. I decided to make action a habit.
Action occurs when my mind and body are in sync. It’s difficult to feel confident or successful if my mind thinks one thing but my body says something else. When I feel off-track, I meditate and read or post to my blog to get back into sync.
I constantly see people engage in mind and body sabotage. They say they’re too fat or not smart enough or that they could never get that job because…. Motivation, inspiration, and creativity aren’t consistent. They have a tendency to come and go when they please. We can’t beat ourselves up on days we’re not feeling motivated. I recognize when I’m up and when I’m down. Once I pinpoint my current level of motivation, I know how to plan my day accordingly.
