Sometimes I really do wish that the day had 36 hours. As an entrepreneur mom, I face a big challenge: balancing my family life and work. Not to mention friends, exercise and reading.
When you are running your everyday, life throws tons of things at you to cause stress, anxiety and nervousness. What if the latest collection is missing three important styles, and I only have four days to present to the a major retailer?? OMG! Literally then it feels like the world will come to an end. But….
At the end of each day I sit down with my four-year-old son Luke. We both give each other our hands, and I ask him what was the highlight of his day and tell him mine. Then we move on to the not so good parts of the day. When he starts talking to me about what happened in school that day, it makes me stop and re-think about how to handle my own problems and how to help him better cope with his daily happenings.
My family inspires me daily, and I aspire to be a better person because of them. At the end of the day something really special keeps us all grounded. Whatever that is, it has to be the passion of your life. Mine is my family. Hands down.
